No specific threat- because- in the War on Terror- the good guys can tell what the bad guys will do before they do it?
If the good guys can tell what the bad guys will do before they do it- surely, these powerful crime fighting tools will be used to shut down gang and cartel activity, heroin trafficking, bank robberies, child abduction, etc.
Seems like post-911 security protocols & the War on Terror would be a drug cartel’s worst nightmare. What does the US Dept. of Homeland Security have to say about all this?
I respect the LE community. People who initiate violence towards police officers should be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
Every so often, a massive manhunt is launched to track down an individual or small group of people who have committed violent felony crimes involving police officers or others:
Seems like the badass terrorists we are supposed to stay scared of could do their thing in 6 or 8 states at the same time- and they would tie up thousands of law enforcement personnel if they then fled into the woods.
In the War on Terror we are told that the good guys are able to stop the bad guys in the early stages of planning:
If the good guys can tell what the bad guys will do before they do it- surely, these powerful crime fighting tools will be used to shut down gang and cartel activity, heroin trafficking, bank robberies, child abduction, etc.
Why would there be any need for massive manhunts if the bad guys could be stopped before they act on their violent plans?
If the good guys can tell what the bad guys will do before they do it- surely, these powerful crime fighting tools will be used to shut down gang and cartel activity, heroin trafficking, bank robberies, child abduction, etc.
“A terrorist attack can happen anywhere and the Department Of Homeland Security has warned local enforcement this week to be vigilant.”
So we’re on the lookout for improper nav lights, boozing, & lost children.
Thanks DHS for pointing us in the right direction.
Hey newspeople/school teachers, DHS & veterans-
How do these wars keep us more safe while we are constantly reminded of terror threats in the Homeland?
War on Terror-
Good guys able to stop bad guys in the early stages of planning-
Another badass terrorist holds hands with FBI agents while describing his violent plans:
If the arsonists were terrorists- they would have been stopped in the planning stages. This is what we are supposed to believe about how America is protected by fusion centers.
If the good guys can tell what the bad guys will do before they do it- surely, these powerful crime fighting tools will be used to shut down gang and cartel activity, heroin trafficking, bank robberies, child abduction, etc.
The people who run both major parties & the conventions that nominate presidential candidates are OK with ongoing, undeclared/unwon wars overseas, the drug war racket, & a secretive, wasteful and ineffective Dept. of Homeland Security.
Ditto for the TV networks that host presidential debates & ask scripted questions of candidates.
As always- the big law enforcement success story comes with zero reporting or questions from newspeople about why the proud War on Terror is unable to keep heroin out of the US.
More here:
US Border Patrol, Port Angeles, WA-
No cross-border USBP arrest has happened here in more than 5 years:
Heroin traffickers are frequently successful at what they do. If terrorists were just as interested in entering the US- it appears that federal departments and agencies would have no way to stop them.
Each November, school teachers across America host Veterans Day assemblies– and promote the idea that The Troops are in distant lands- fighting for American rights and freedoms.
Sentries & watchstanders unable to prevent lone bumbler from penetrating US Coast Guard base- then smoking marijuana in the CO’s quarters aboard 210-foot cutter Active- not to be discovered until hours later at morning colors:
“Once we had neutralized the shooter, we had to search all areas of the boat to make sure there wasn’t anymore danger,” he said.
Newspeople, please help us to make sense of mixed messages in the War on Terror. Please be in the habit of asking questions. Too often- what we see are the posting of press releases from whatever agencies are involved in local events and incidents.
Many of us have made dozens of round-trip ferry crossings over the years. It is very common to see no security at either terminal. The Washington State Patrol uses dogs to check vehicles at some ferry terminals on some days. Walk-on passengers are not checked at any terminal- at any time.
The routes I have traveled most are Edmonds/Kingston & Port Townsend/Keystone. (Coupeville/Penn Cove is on the eastern shore of Whidbey Island- no ferry link to Port Townsend exists there.)
Washington State Ferries encourages people to speak up if they see something that doesn’t look right:
Questions to ask:
If the Oklahoma City bomber rolls onto the ferry- how does a SWAT team help out an hour later?
What is the point in having gunboats escorting ferries if terrorists are free to put their boat on a trailer and drive it onto the ferry?
Man drives through Bainbridge toll booths without paying and locks himself in his car on the ferry Tacoma.
“State Patrol troopers and their bomb-sniffing dogs, who might also have made an arrest, didn’t happen to be at the Bainbridge dock.”
“We’d like the patrol to be everywhere, all the time, but they don’t have the staff or the money,” said ferry spokeswoman Susan Harris-Huether. “If they’d have been (at Bainbridge), none of this would have happened.”
“Gilliland did, though, cut ahead in the vehicle loading lanes, hopping from lane five to lane one in a hurried attempt to load onto the ferry, officials said.”
”The folks on the vessel gestured for him to stop, but he swerved like he was going to run them over, Harris-Huether said.”
“Ferry deckhands shoved wooden wedges under the wheels of Gillilands SUV to prevent him from moving and asked him to step out of the vehicle. Gilliland refused, locking his doors, revving his engine and rolling up his windows.”
“Washington State Ferries officials had received two complaints from passengers, saying that they had to abide by security measures while Michael did not.”
Security measures?
Washington State ferry passengers are advised via PA system to not leave backpacks or packages unattended during ferry crossings.
Meanwhile- on the car deck- cars, trucks, vans, commercial vehicles, etc. are left unattended during ferry crossings.
Washington State Ferries propaganda video-

Non-terrorist demonstrates lack of security protocols at typical Washington State ferries terminal-
Vehicle blows by ticket booth, ignoring personnel assigned to proper staging of vehicles:
Trying to make sense of mixed War on Terror messages-
Real ID:
So critical to the safety of America- the badass terrorists we are supposed to stay scared of have until Oct. 1, 2020 to make use of the weaker standard:
“A CNN analysis of passenger property loss claims filed with the TSA from 2010 to 2014 shows 30,621 claims of missing valuables, mostly packed in checked luggage. The rest occurred at security checkpoints. Total property loss claimed: $2.5 million.”
“Even the TSA has had problem employees. Since 2002, the agency has fired 513 officers for theft.”
Surely- the folks who have daily access to the secured areas of US airports are required to pass background checks and possess special IDs in order to keep the system safe?
“The vast majority of airport employees with direct access to the tarmac and airplanes do not go through any daily security screening, and only two of the country’s major airports have systems in place that require all employees with secure access to pass through metal detectors, a CNN investigation has found.”
“There is no federal requirement that the baggage handlers, mechanics, cleaning crews and other employees with access to the airfield and other secure areas get screened as passengers do.”
Please speak with our public affairs/information suppression specialist if you have further questions:
“TSA is implementing or considering a range of measures, including additional requirements for employee screening; conducting additional, randomized security countermeasures at employee access points; and introducing additional security patrols by TSA teams of law enforcement and screening professionals to specifically address these concerns.”
“The TSA identified workers with access to secure areas of airports as one of the greatest potential threats to aviation, according to a 2009 report by the Government Accountability Office.”
“The report said costs for full screening of airport and airline employees could range from $5.7 billion to $14.9 billion for the first year of implementation. The entire TSA budget for 2015 is $7.3 billion.”
WASHINGTON—Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson today announced the release of Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 Notices of Funding Opportunity for nine DHS preparedness grant programs totaling more than $1.6 billion.
I saw a pro-war meme on facebook yesterday. It shows the inside of a US military aircraft fully loaded with troops- headed out to kick some ass. Other similar posts that go around show one of several precision airstrike videos. We see the target- then, a few seconds later the building/facilities, vehicles, people on the ground are wiped out by a direct hit. This theme goes all the way back to the ’91 Gulf War- Desert Storm.
2015-
A whole lot of kicking ass going on- yet the US seems to struggle to get the upper hand- against opponents who have no modern navy, air force, etc.
Remember when the take down of Saddam Hussein & Osama bin Laden was big news in the War on Terror?
Hey school teachers- if the wars aren’t won- how can they protect our freedom?
Young people of America- considering a career in the US Armed Forces? When you’re done sitting through years of Veterans Day assemblies– hosted by the teachers mentioned above- learn about using your whoop ass military benefits by reading comments from The Troops here.
Heroin traffickers cross into the US free of screening, scanning, pat downs, special IDs, inspection of personal items, etc.
If we are told that the US is in a life & death struggle with terrorists- who may try to come here to attempt another 911- seems like a weak link that drug cartels are able to say FU to post-911 security protocols.
What prevents the badass terrorists we are supposed to stay scared of from blowing themselves up in a crowded airport just short of the screening checkpoint?
Ditto for hundreds of events nationwide each year at rock concerts, baseball games, basketball games, pro sports events, college sports events, etc.
