I saw a pro-war meme on facebook yesterday. It shows the inside of a US military aircraft fully loaded with troops- headed out to kick some ass. Other similar posts that go around show one of several precision airstrike videos. We see the target- then, a few seconds later the building/facilities, vehicles, people on the ground are wiped out by a direct hit. This theme goes all the way back to the ’91 Gulf War- Desert Storm.

A whole lot of kicking ass going on- yet the US seems to struggle to get the upper hand- against opponents who have no modern navy, air force, etc.
