Zero questions on weak links in border security that allowed cartel product to move into Washington State.

KING 5 News

Four-Star General lets us know what to think at 0:27 below:

If you are on the Kristi Noem team, you have been out kicking ass this year. You have placed cartels on notice in a no-nonsense fashion.

2025 tough talk includes designating cartels as terrorist organizations and fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction.

What wars has DOD won by designating groups as terrorist organizations or by going after weapons of mass destruction?

Any questions from newspeople?

More than six months back, Kristi Noem deployed her ass kicking drug war road show.

Mar 20, 2025:

Homeland Security Vision of Success

Promotional events crafted and controlled by public affairs professionals, staged with major drug hauls, patrol boats, helicopters, etc.

The big campaign features top level team leaders thanking each other.

Well done.

Announcing the number of DOD ground units, US Navy and US Coast Guard vessels sent towards the US/Mexico border demonstrates a sense of commitment.

If you are part of a local drug task force, or narcotics enforcement team, you are advertising the latest big drug bust after cartel product is able to move past the jurisdiction of federal agents at borders, border crossings and ports of entry, REAL ID checks and a barrier of DOD ground units, US Navy and US Coast Guard vessels prior to arriving in Hometown, USA.

If you are part of the DEA, you may hope for limited success coming from the Trump/Noem team because what would you do with yourself if cartel drugs could no longer enter the US?

Please let us know when Seattle area drug addicts have any difficulty finding their cartel product of choice.

If you are part of a local health dept. you are handing out Naloxone as always, to deal with the stuff that doesn’t get reported in the big local drug bust.

Americans were told that they faced a life and death situation after 911. If certain actions were not taken, terrorists could come to America to disrupt our way of life and attempt another 911.

If all this was a life and death situation that required sending the troops to Iraq and Afghanistan, wouldn’t it be important to ask a few public policy questions about what was going on?

Newspeople have a long history of not asking questions in this area.

Lessons Learned?

Anytime there is a plane crash, a loss at sea, or an industrial accident, a thorough investigation takes place. Lessons learned are used to prevent future accidents.

Any similar effort after a big drug bust?

Newspeople show zero curiosity in finding out how cartel product was able to move past Noem/Trump border security and on into WA.

What we get now is sort of a press release style of news reporting where a statement is prepared by whatever agency was involved in the latest policy update, drug bust/federal grant money award, etc.

Newspeople post this statement as is. A 5th grade book report would require more in the way of asking questions.

The press has failed.

Over the past 35 years or so, newspeople have failed in their role of investigating and asking questions related to public policy.

In a free and honest society, newspeople would ask questions.

Trump says the U.S. military targeted a boat allegedly carrying drugs from Venezuela

Sept 16, 2025

“President Donald Trump said the U.S. military on Monday again targeted a boat allegedly carrying drugs from Venezuela, killing three aboard the vessel, and hinted that the military targeting of cartels could be further expanded.”

“The strike was carried out nearly two weeks after another military strike on what the Trump administration said was a drug-carrying speedboat from Venezuela that killed 11.”

Asked what proof the U.S. has that the vessel was carrying drugs, Trump replied, “We have proof. All you have to do is look at the cargo that was spattered all over the ocean — big bags of cocaine and fentanyl all over the place.”

The era of newspeople not asking questions brings on private citizens who go out and ask questions.

Instead of waiting for school teachers to teach about individual rights and limited government authority, waiting on the press to ask questions, or courts to handle cases, these guys go out and update us with a quick reality check.

These guys were also never waiting on the overthrow of Saddam Hussein or the take down of any other bad guy in distant lands, as DOD defends the constitution, etc.

Old Drug War – Cartels Respond & Move More Product Into The US

Did General Milley’s Operation Macho Swagger ever reduce access to cartel product anywhere in the US?

When is the last time DOD/DHS was able to create any shortage of cartel product in the Puget Sound area?

Has there been enough time for newspeople to ask questions?

Seattle newspeople get their chance to ask questions. They play the role of law enforcement public affairs staff instead.

The giant and expensive (since 2002) US Dept. of Homeland Security appears to be irrelevant here.

Questions That Went Unasked

Is the fentanyl situation in WA any different today than it was under Biden?

What role does the US Dept. of Homeland Security play in preventing cartel product from arriving in the Puget Sound area?

Have efforts made by the Secretary of Homeland Security in recent months created any shortage of fentanyl in the Puget Sound area?

Are Puget Sound area first responders finding any less need for Narcan, buprenorphine, Naloxone, fentanyl test strips, or any similar product used in overdose response situations?

Are Seattle area drug addicts having any difficulty finding their cartel product of choice?

Did the advantage of designating cartels as terrorist organizations back on Feb 20, 2025 reduce the availability of fentanyl in the Puget Sound area?

Did the use of DOD ground units and US Navy assets create any shortage of cartel product in the Puget Sound area?

Has the good work of the K9 teams contributed to any shortage of cartel product in the Puget Sound area?

Well done on the operation below.

US Dept. of Homeland Security played no role in preventing cartel product from arriving in Washington State?

Drug gangs in WA have no cartel product to work with until that product is able to move past the jurisdiction of federal agents at borders, border crossings and ports of entry/REAL ID checks and a barrier of DOD ground units, US Navy and US Coast Guard vessels prior to arriving in Hometown, USA.

Sen. Roger Marshall

At 1:50: President Trump secured the border.

At 2:00: The amount of fentanyl crossing the border has been cut in half.

At 2:12: Cartels are alive and well in Kansas.

Love to see newspeople ask:

If the border is secured, how does 50% of the fentanyl still enter the US?

If the border is secured, how are cartels still alive and well in Kansas?

In the old War on Terror, cartels were not designated as terrorist organizations.

Did the advantage of designating terrorist organizations in Iraq and Afghanistan allow those undeclared wars to be prevented, won or shut down?

Keeping Cartels Out

The giant US Dept. of Homeland Security has more than two decades of experience and lessons learned in trying to keep cartel product from arriving in the US.

The US Dept. of Homeland Security was established in 2002.

Love to see newspeople ask:

Has any US presidential administration since that time been able to use DHS to create any shortage of cartel product anywhere in the US?

President Trump has given full support to a Homeland Security mission of keeping cartel product out of the US.

Was Homeland Security ever meant to handle this task?

If so, why would DOD funding for maintenance related to barracks and other facilities be diverted to send US troops to the border?

Is there any shortage of cartel product anywhere in WA?

Zero questions from newspeople:

Across The Nation

If you are on the Kristi Noem team, you are out kicking ass.

If you are part of DOD you avoid barracks maintenance in order to pay for sending The Troops three states over to secure the border while failing to manage federal contracts related to TRICARE.

When all US efforts fail to create any shortage of cartel product anywhere in the US:

Blame Mexico. Or, blame Canada.

A giant flag ritual at the next ball game will make it all good.

“We need to talk about Little Saigon — particularly the intersection of 12th Avenue and Jackson Street.”

“Allow me to offer a glimpse of what is happening there: Addicts and dealers, housed and unhoused, of all ages and ethnicities, congregate to buy, sell, use and share the most deadly synthetic drugs on our streets, such as fentanyl, tranq (xylazine, a sedative) and meth. They support their addiction and fuel the drug market by selling stolen goods, often openly displayed on the street.”

“The library receives around 500 to 800 naloxone kits each month to distribute, depending on patron interest.”

“Naloxone is used to reverse an opioid overdose, including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioid medications. Naloxone is safe, works almost immediately, and is not addictive, according to medical professionals.”

“Fentanyl test strips can detect the presence of fentanyl in different kinds of drugs. They provide people who use drugs with information about fentanyl in the illegal drug supply so they can take steps to reduce the risk of overdose.”

National pride is declining in America

We have recently been told that national pride is declining in the USA.

When comment sections are open, people seem to make this issue about their most or least liked political parties and personalities.

Both major political parties are manipulative and dishonest.

Love the way Cenk Uygur narrates at 6:41 in the video below:

Unlike many local newspapers, alternative media is good with maintaining an active comment section. More than 3,000 comments are posted with the video above.

Armed Forces Recruiting Crisis

Decades after the lessons of Vietnam, the Pentagon seems to specialize in undeclared/unwon wars.

Both major political parties are good with it.

Understandable why young people & their parents & grandparents would take a dim view on all this. Continuing on this path will wear down the energy American families once had for encouraging young people to enlist.

There has been good news for recruiting recently after standards were modified to create a prep course category for training recruits.

Our take:

The US should maintain strong and ready military forces.

Some will say obese teens and young adults are to blame for the big recruiting crisis.

Thousands of young, intelligent and athletic Americans participate in college athletics each year. Certainly, they would qualify to enlist- no rehab/prep program required.

Why are these people not showing up at the recruiting office?

Any questions from newspeople?

Across The Nation

If you are on the Kristi Noem team, you are out kicking ass.

If you are part of a local health dept. you are handing out Naloxone as always, to deal with the stuff that doesn’t get reported in the big local drug bust.

If you are part of DOD you avoid barracks maintenance in order to pay for sending The Troops three states over to secure the border while failing to manage federal contracts related to TRICARE.

When all US efforts fail to create any shortage of cartel product anywhere in the US:

Blame Mexico.

That includes elements of the 4th Infantry Division equipped with Stryker armored vehicles — a deployment level that rivals, and in some cases exceeds, the number of American forces currently stationed in global combat zones.”

Crack down on Mexican cartels after missing musicians found burned near Mexican border

by Taylor Whartnaby & Photographer Blake McCarty | Associated PressMon, June 2nd 2025

“U.S. officials in San Antonio and throughout South Texas are intensifying efforts to halt the flow of guns purchased in the U.S. and trafficked into Mexico, where they often end up with violent cartels.”

“Authorities stressed the heightened stakes, as cartels are now classified as foreign terrorist organizations, which elevates the consequences for those aiding them.”

Longer version of the event here:

Two star general is not a great speaker.

I am no expert here, but firearms legally available in US sporting goods stores are restricted so that they do not function as a machine gun. No grenades, flamethrowers, ordnance to be launched from drones, etc.

Cartels operate in a black market world where there are zero restrictions on firearms, explosives, cash/credit cards, tax reporting, deadly drugs, boats, aircraft, vehicles, no background checks, waiting periods, etc.

Cartels (terrorist organizations) have unlimited access to cash. Why would they rely on firearms legally available in the US to conduct their GWOT operations?

TV newspeople seem to function as federal public affairs staff instead of asking these questions.

Rash of memorial plaque thefts, vandalism plague Westport

“14 plaques have been pried off raising ire of families, residents”

By Jerry Knaak The Daily World • May 17, 2025

Westport Mayor Ed Welter:

“You’ll end up with these transient camps. It happens every year. The fact that we’re having vandalism on the trail is indicative of a group of people that will do those kinds of things.”

“The ones we’re talking about are on that beach trail that goes from Ocean Avenue to the lighthouse and that is all State Parks property. It looks like they’ve been getting pried off. I don’t know what State Parks has been doing about it. State Parks has their own law enforcement capabilities, they have rangers assigned to these areas,” Welter said. ”If I had to guess, I would say that they’re probably getting scrapped, so there is some hope that we’ll be able to identify who’s doing this. If the officers can go to the scrap yards and identify a piece that is identifiable from one of the memorials then they can trace it back through the payment receipts or surveillance footage from the scrap yard. There’s some hope there.”

“According to Welter, the terrain in the area and the lack of proper staffing make it difficult to spot ne’er-do-wells.”

“Washington State Parks issued the following statement: “We are aware of these thefts, and our ranger has completed incident reports. Vandalism and property damage are an unfortunate part of managing public property. There are no formal next steps.”

Elimination Of Local News Reader Comments

Elimination of reader comments works against the idea of paying for an online subscription.

Years ago, I lived in several different small town areas. Places like Kingston, Port Hadlock and north of Penn Cove.

These areas had small, local newspapers and those papers featured active, online comment sections. Paying for a newspaper subscription was OK with me. There were basic rules for commenting, but it did not seem to matter what name people went by. I never cared.

I used to love the comment sections.

Local papers have stripped away all comments from past articles, and removed the opportunity to post comments to new articles.

Various newspapers in the Puget Sound area have gone with this trend.

Suppressing comments, getting away from asking questions related to public policy and telling us they need more support in the form of grant money, subscription and advertising sales, etc.

Got it.

Love to see newspeople out asking questions.

What we get now is sort of a press release style of news reporting where a statement is prepared by whatever agency was involved in the latest policy update, drug bust/federal grant money award, etc.

Newspeople post this statement as is. A 5th grade book report would require more in the way of asking questions.

Pentagon Diverts $1 Billion from Army Barracks to Fund Border Mission

Military.com | By Steve Beynon
May 28, 2025

“The Pentagon is shifting $1 billion meant for maintaining and renovating Army barracks to instead fund its surge of troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, a move that coincides with the service’s gradual deprioritization of quality-of-life initiatives for soldiers.”

“Many buildings that house junior enlisted troops are decades old, with persistent issues ranging from mold and pests to failing plumbing and broken HVAC systems.”

“In some cases, those issues have led to soldiers getting sick from constant exposure to mold and other unsanitary conditions. According to an estimate from the Congressional Budget Office, the Army has a backlog of $20 billion worth of repairs and renovations to its facilities, a figure that continues to climb, worsened by inflation, with the average building being 47 years old.”
