Went out this afternoon and was looking for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Went to two locations. One had an old date-looks like they no longer stock it. The other location had a not so new date.
The shelf space available is occupied with what is new and most popular. Fizzy, Kool-Aid colored hard seltzers, lite beers, super, extra light low calorie/low carb beers, etc.
I truly believe:
The best beers are the ones you enjoy most
No problem with any of what is available, but the items that don’t sell as fast get edged out.
Grew up in the Cold War era and American beers were pretty uninteresting.
At about :30 below, Darwin describes the golden/tasteless lager brewed by big American beer companies during the past century.
Miller, Bud, Schlitz, etc. were popular when I was in high school. I call these Bowling Alley Beers- thinking of a typical Cold War era bowling alley.

Purchased the Mirror Pond shown above. It is a decent brew.
Looked on the web to see if I could find any reviews on YouTube. No luck. This is the second time this month that I have been unable to find any reviews on YouTube for beers that are well known and have been around for a while.
