US Troops To Iraq and Afghanistan – Never Forget

One of the responses to Sept 11th, 2001, was to send troops to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Another reaction was to create a US Dept. of Homeland Security to keep bad people from coming here to do bad things or to attempt another 911.

Today, Americans pay $51.6 billion every 12 months for this giant federal department that fails to keep cartel product from showing up in all 50 states.

Decades of Lessons Learned

A country that sent US troops to Iraq back in 1990. A country that still has troops in Iraq in 2024 for some version of defense.

A country that established the US Dept. of Homeland Security on November 25th, 2002.

Fentanyl arrived in Spokane late, but then exploded

Fentanyl seized in WA is product that traveled past a $51.6 billion (every 12 months) US Dept. of Homeland Security before arriving in WA.

“Since 2021, the amount of fentanyl seizures in Washington have spiked, recording the third most seizures in the country behind California and Arizona, both southern border states, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Spokane too has seen a drastic increase.

In 2021, Spokane police seized 10 fentanyl pills. So far in 2024, they’ve seized more than 76,000, along with vast amounts of the drug in powder form.”

Homeland Security Vote of Confidence:

Most fentanyl in the United States comes directly from drug cartels in Mexico and Central America, according to the DEA and federal prosecutors.”

“Undocumented immigrants are able to secure California identification numbers, and noncitizens are allowed to vote in local school board elections in San Francisco. Huntington Beach’s neighboring City of Santa Ana is considering following San Francisco’s lead; a November ballot measure would allow noncitizens to vote in all, not just school board, municipal elections in the city.”

Federal – Student Loan Debt Relief

Some people may think of the US Army College Fund as an incentive to do time in uniform.

Back in the Cold War era of the 1980s (no recruiting crisis) Uncle Sam encouraged people to do time in the US Army to earn college money.

Go find this generation of veterans and ask them if they are sending their kids and grandkids down to enlist.

GWOT Era

TV newspeople function like paid actors reading a script:

Would any newsperson ever ask:

Did the advantage of US air power allow the undeclared wars in Iraq or Afghanistan to be prevented, won or shut down?

US jet aircraft have been able to strike targets in what wars won by the US?

Currently serving four-star officers and high level DOD civilians have been associated with what wars won by the US?

Has dressing women to look like men had any positive or negative impact on recruiting?

Super Bowl

Tune in to any Super Bowl in the post 911 era to see the press promote a big US Dept. of Homeland Security show of force to keep the big game safe. TV newspeople skip asking questions and play the role of federal public affairs staff instead:

The folks who can’t keep fentanyl trafficking cartels from moving product into various US communities are keeping the Super Bowl safe. Way To Go Team.

Would any newsperson ever ask:

If special games require special security-what keeps regular games safe? Crowd size/capacity is similar at several stadiums.

Are fans less safe at regular games?

What prevents terror strikes at hundreds of events & locations unsupervised by federal authorities?

What stops terrorists from going 2 states over and driving a truck across the playground at a daycare center?

How Do The Troops Defend The Constitution?

Not asking about the oath of enlistment. Asking about what happens after the oath has been taken.

Love to see newspeople interview elected officials and let us know how sending US Troops to Syria, Lebanon, Somalia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, etc., is somehow defending the constitution.

Look for newspeople and school teachers to ask zero questions in these areas.
