DSC_0064 2Question for newspeople: What role does the US Border Patrol play in keeping heroin away from the Kitsap & Olympic Peninsulas?

2012-

Border Patrol cuts ribbon for new $11.9 million facility in Port Angeles

We are told the #1 US Border Patrol objective is to stop terrorists.

The US Border Patrol explains this objective at a local public forum- this YouTube video covers Border Patrol objectives at 3:50

Heroin epidemic gripping Port Angeles

DSC_0001

Nov, 2013 Poulsbo, WA-

“Police Chief Al Townsend says a growing heroin problem in the city is now responsible for 80% of crime…”

Oct, 2013-

“The cartels control the flow of heroin across the border.”

Kitsap County WA-

“All of our heroin is from Mexico and it’s black tar heroin.”

July, 2013-

“The report finds that heroin in the U.S. generally comes from two different places: South America and Mexico.”

June, 2013-

DEA-

“Barnes says the heroin comes straight up I-5 from Mexico and is one of the cheapest drugs out there.”

Heroin traffickers are frequently successful at what they do. If terrorists were just as interested in entering the US- it appears that federal departments and agencies would have no way to stop them.

Think terrorists are smart enough to pose as heroin traffickers- then cross into the US free of screening, scanning, pat downs, special IDs, inspection of personal items, etc.

Don’t worry-

The Super Bowl and public affairs will be safe-

Newspeople- please consider doing a report/asking questions Re: why the US Department of Homeland Security is unable to keep heroin out of the US.

“…a department with more than 20 different agencies, a budget of more than $45 billion and a staff of hundreds of thousands of civilian, law enforcement and military personnel.”

What role do 1,200-horsepower Border Patrol Interceptor boats play in keeping heroin away from the Olympic Peninsula?

“… their main interaction with the boating public: Boarding boats and checking for ID, getting a “vibe,” as Jeff P. called it, for what’s up.”

Special ID cards make it virtually impossible for those who wish to do harm or violate U.S. laws to move heroin into Poulsbo & Port Angeles.
