I like to look at Reddit on occasion because the site seems to entertain questions that are avoided by standard newspeople.
Taking a look at something related to how US Armed Forces recruiting is going and a couple of comments stand out:
“If they fight as well as they keep oaths, Iran should have no fucking problems”
Below-I would say suspected narcoterrorist drug boats.
“No command I ever served with would have issued or followed orders to destroy small boats off venezuela, for example. It was murder, plain and simple.”
From another thread:
“I’d have absolutely no trust in these leaders, especially with their trigger happy firings of every general that isn’t a yes man for them.”
The US should maintain strong and ready military forces.
In some cases, the US Armed Forces provide for our security. That’s as good as it gets.
In terms of American rights and freedoms, the Dept. of Defense has no more say than the Dept. of Agriculture.
Decades after the lessons of Vietnam, the Pentagon seems to specialize in undeclared/unwon wars.
