TSA’s faster PreCheck lane wants to scan your face

Seattle Times – Aug. 13, 2025

By Natalie B. Compton – The Washington Post

“…TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, a separate lane from regular PreCheck that uses facial recognition to verify your identity at the airport. Instead of handing their IDs over to a Transportation Security Administration officer to verify their identity, travelers who opt in to the expedited security program instead pause to scan their face, then keep moving.”

We were told:

Life and death GWOT scenarios required thousands of US troops to do one or more tours in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Potential threats required TSA protocols to be put in place at the airport after 911.

In a real War on Terror, newspeople would ask questions about the various mixed messages served up by the federal government.

Mainstream TV newspeople will avoid interviewing people who have questions Re: Security Theater.

Out at the airport, real newspeople may ask:

What keeps the terrorists of the GWOT from creating a disruption at the back end of the airport security screening line?

Guaranteed: No TV newsperson anywhere will ever ask this question. Americans do not live in a free and honest society.

Imagine the TV newsperson, on camera, escorting the TSA official all the way to the back of the “be sure to arrive early line” and asking what keeps the bad guys from creating a disruption at that point.
