Seems like sending LE personnel dressed like SWAT team members or US troops in Iraq is no longer seen as a last resort option.
The F.B.I. was a TV show that aired from 1965–1974.

Rod Demery made a point on the show of saying that he believes it is proper to do his job wearing a suit and tie.
He is bringing in homicide suspects. He is not a fictional character.

Certainly, the SWAT style forces should be trained and ready to respond when armed suspects are barricaded and holding hostages, killing elementary school students & teachers, etc.
How did the recent ICE raids start out? I don’t know all the answers, I have no LE experience. The perception may be that the initial arrival of LE personnel in Los Angeles involved those dressed in military-style gear.

How Do The Troops Defend The Constitution?
Not asking about the oath of enlistment. Asking about what happens after the oath has been taken.
Love to see newspeople interview elected officials and let us know how sending US Troops to Syria, Lebanon, Somalia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, etc., is somehow defending the constitution.
