Voting is highly emphasized in American culture. Asking questions related to public policy takes a lower priority.

Are newspeople forbidden to ask questions related to Homeland Security funding and performance?

Billions of dollars are spent every 12 months to keep bad people from coming here to do bad things.

US Troops at the border, El Chapo takedown, opioid lawsuits, REAL ID, Homeland Security grant money, CBP social media posts, strict post 911 security protocols, and a $51.6 billion US Dept. of Homeland Security fail to keep meth and heroin from arriving in Kitsap and Island Counties.

Federal agents were watching Port Orchard residence when man was shot

“…on Tuesday, 15 alleged members of the drug-trafficking organization linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel in Mexico were arrested, and 19 have been charged in connection to drug trafficking in U.S. District Court.”

“Over the course of the 18-month investigation, authorities seized more than 100 pounds of meth and 10 pounds of heroin.”

Gun Crimes

Newspeople fail to report on results from enhanced background check requirements.

“On April 20 agents monitoring communications between suspects listened to conversations about a dispute over an unpaid debt for a pound of meth. One of the men said he had gone to a house in Renton and fired three “warning shots” in the air. Renton 911 dispatchers confirmed to federal investigators they had received multiple calls for a “shots fired” and a GPS tracker on the man’s phone placed him in the area.”

WA voters approved enhanced background checks back in 2014.

The new requirements have had time to take hold.

Puget Sound area shootings roll on.

Will the press ever do a follow up on the enhanced background check requirements that have been in place for years now?

People need to carry a special ID to go have lunch in Canada, then return home. Have these ID requirements helped to keep cartel product from entering the US?

Standard driver’s licenses have not been accepted at the border since 2009.

The Dept. of Defense gets in on the act in April of 2020.

Has General Milley’s Operation Macho Swagger resulted in any shortage of meth or heroin, anywhere in the US?

Suspect crashes car while trying to flee State Patrol

“An Oak Harbor man is accused of leading a Washington state trooper on a brief chase in a car full of drugs before crashing into a field and then being Tased, according to court documents.”

“A trooper wrote in a report on the chase that it started when he saw a Ford Explorer traveling 66 mph in a 55-mph zone on State Highway 20 near Coupeville. He attempted to pull the vehicle over, but it continued at speeds up to 110 mph.”

“After obtaining a search warrant, investigators seized 291 grams of suspected meth, 134 grams of suspected heroin, 61 grams of suspected cocaine, pipes and a scale, the trooper wrote.”

The trooper wrote that the amount of illegal substances suggested that it was for sale and distribution since “the average user consumes approximately 1-2 grams per day.”

Homeland Security Grant Program 2014

Island county to purchase new patrol boat to help with Puget Sound security:

Federal grant money goes to “…gain a better grasp on cross border activity and to prevent illegal crossings.”

“Funding for the boat was issued through the Homeland Security Grant Program under Operation Stonegarden.”

Has the Island County Homeland Security-funded patrol boat been able to intercept any inbound meth or heroin?

Has the Island County Homeland Security-funded patrol boat been involved in any arrest or seizure related in any way to the US/Canada border?

Newspeople remain silent.

Is Port Angeles CBP staffing and infrastructure at all relevant in keeping heroin and meth from entering the Puget Sound area?

Has Port Angeles CBP been able to intercept any inbound meth or heroin?

Even one time?

An upgrade in staff requiring a new, $11.9 million, 50 agent facility. Secret arrest statistics, denied FOIA requests, heroin and meth in the community, rare and mysterious cross-border arrests, fraudulent overtime claims, 1,200-horsepower interceptor boats and zero questions from the press.

Are fraudulent overtime claims still the norm at Port Angeles?
