WA Politics and Election Outcomes

Draw a line between Bellingham and Olympia. Election outcomes for the State of Washington are controlled by the people who live roughly within this area.

On the national scene:

Washington is not one of the key battleground/swing states. National elections are not decided by late night counting of votes on election day here in WA.

Correct me if I am wrong on any of this.
