Good News:

“Stopping these smugglers on the high seas, far from shore, is crucial to our combined efforts to stop the flow of illegal activity, secure our borders and protect legitimate commerce.”

Bad News:

“Clallam County commissioners have been asked to consider the heroin epidemic as they shape next year’s budget.”

“Clallam County’s death rate from prescription opioid and heroin overdose was 29 per 100,000 in 2013, nearly twice the state’s overdose death rate of 14.8 per 100,000, health officials have said.”

Good News:

Most communities do not have the advantage of being home to a new, $11.9 million, 50 agent US Border Patrol facility.

Bad News:

Seems like post-911 security protocols & the War on Terror would be a drug cartel’s worst nightmare. What does the US Dept. of Homeland Security have to say about all this?
